Wahab and Razzaq, Pakistan’s selectors, are fired following the World Cup.

Pakistan’s LAHORE, July 10 (Reuters) – Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq were fired by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday in the wake of the team’s dismal T20 World Cup performance from a month ago.
The 2009 winners crashed out of the 20-team tournament in the group round after losing to co-hosts and tournament newcomers, the United States.
“The Pakistan Cricket Board … has notified Abdul Razzaq and Wahab Riaz that their services will no longer be required in the national selection committee setup,” the board stated in a statement.

Razzaq served on the selection committees for men and women. Even after being ousted from his position as panel chief earlier this year, Wahab continued to serve as the face of the men’s seven-member selection committee.
Significant improvements were promised by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in response to the team’s World Cup results.
