The Miami Dolphins have confirmed two players are out for their Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals, while Tyreek Hill’s status remains uncertain. Tua Tagovailoa has cleared concussion protocol and will start, but he is still listed as questionable due to being on injured reserve until activation on Saturday, a requirement of NFL rules.
Hill’s name was added to the injury report Thursday when he was listed as a limited participant.
Good news for the Dolphins’ other starting wide receiver: Jaylen Waddle was removed from the injury report and did not receive a game status designation
The same was true for Jevon Holland and Emmanuel Ogbah, who were out for the Week 7 loss at Indianapolis due to hand and bicep injuries, respectively. Additionally, guard Liam Eichenberg, who was dealing with shoulder issues, was taken off the injury report after participating fully in practice on Friday.
The players ruled out on Friday included cornerback Kader Kohou (neck) and defensive tackle Zach Sieler, who may need surgery for his eye injury.
Quarterback Tyler Huntley was also taken off the injury report on Friday, but this was because the Dolphins placed him on injured reserve due to his shoulder injury.
On Friday, the Cardinals announced that three players would be ruled out, in addition to starting linebacker Dennis Gardeck, who was placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
The players ruled out include defensive lineman Roy Lopez (ankle), cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting (neck), and defensive lineman Darius Robinson (personal/calf).
Lopez started at nose tackle for the Cardinals during their 17-15 win against the L.A. Chargers on Monday night.
Murphy-Bunting was the player whose tackle led to Hill’s ankle injury last season while he was with the Tennessee Titans.
Robinson, the second of Arizona’s two first-round picks in the 2024 NFL draft, has not played this season.
The only other Cardinals player with a game status update is tackle Kelvin Bechum, who is managing a groin injury. He fully participated in practice after not practicing on Thursday.
Rookie first-round pick Marvin Harrison Jr. was added to the injury report on Friday because of a knee injury, but he was still listed as a full participant and did not receive a game status designation.
