Man United have agreed a deal to sign Sekou Kone from Guidars FC.
Manchester United Football Club have always excelled when it comes to signing potential stars of the next generation. Seemingly, that mantra isn’t changing under Erik ten Hag.
Chido Obi-Martin has been acquired from Arsenal, with the young striker tipped for big things. Over the last 24 hours, another highly sought-after prospect has chosen to make Old Trafford his next home.
Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that United have agreed a deal to sign the talented midfielder, Sekou Kone.
The Mali-born player arrives from Guidars FC, with Kone on the list for several clubs, though United have won the race.
Kone is considered a part of the Reds’ long-term plans, much like the aforementioned Obi-Martin.
A defensive midfielder by trade, Kone’s reputation is rapidly growing and it’s exciting that United have won the race to sign the player.
As is always the case with these younger signings, you never quite know how it’s going to turn out. Kone now has to keep working hard to fulfill his potential, but there’s no better place for him to do that than the Theatre of Dreams.
Welcome to the biggest club in the world, Sekou!
