Kansas State Trio Shines at NFL Scouting Combine with Speed
Three former Kansas State football players significantly boosted their draft stock with standout performances at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Running back DJ Giddens, cornerback Jacob Parrish, and safety Marques Sigle impressed scouts with their athleticism, particularly their speed, which is a crucial asset at the professional level.
Each player excelled in the 40-yard dash, showcasing their elite quickness. Parrish posted the fastest time among the trio, clocking in at 4.35 seconds—good for the ninth-fastest time at the event. Sigle followed closely at 4.37 seconds, while Giddens ran a strong 4.43 seconds. Their performances reinforced their ability to compete with the speed of the NFL.
Parrish, a 5-foot-10, 191-pound defensive back, recorded 108 tackles and 19 pass breakups during his collegiate career. His strong showing at the Combine caught the attention of ESPN analyst Mel Kiper, who now sees him as a “solid Day 2” prospect in the upcoming NFL Draft.
With their speed and skill on display, all three Wildcats made a strong case for themselves as draft-worthy players.
