Breaking News: New York Mets Confirm Another Top Sensational Fans Favorite Just Terminates His Contract With Mets And Announces Shocking Departure…

February 24 (UPI) — Manager Carlos Mendoza informed reporters Monday that Sean Manaea of the New York Mets will probably begin the season on the disabled list after being diagnosed with an oblique injury.

Mendoza claimed that although Manaea had been experiencing pain in his right oblique since the beginning of spring camp, he was still throwing. The strain was discovered during his Sunday MRI.

“The good news is that the tendon is not involved; the rib cage is not involved, so it’s just straight muscle,” Mendoza stated. “He will not be able to accomplish anything for a few weeks. After that, we will reevaluate. He has to be re-established. He will most likely begin the season on the injured list, it is reasonable to assume.

Manaea, 33, made 32 starts for the Mets last season and was 12-6 with a 3.47 ERA. A week prior, Mendoza had revealed that fellow Mets starter Frankie Montas would be out for six to eight weeks due to a strained back muscle.
