GOOD NEWS: The 28-Year-Old Top Sensational Superstar Officially Agreed To A $565 Million Deal To Resign With The Pittsburgh Steelers…

Steelers Interested in Retaining Justin Fields, But Market Could Dictate Outcome

The Pittsburgh Steelers have expressed interest in bringing back quarterback Justin Fields, but whether that happens will largely depend on his market value. While the team has been in discussions with both Fields and veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, securing Fields’ return may require navigating competition from other interested teams.

According to Spotrac’s market analysis, Fields is projected to earn around $7 million on a one-year deal. However, that estimate is based on historical comparisons, and Fields could command a higher salary, especially if multiple teams pursue him. The Steelers, led by team president Art Rooney II, appear to prefer locking Fields into a multi-year deal rather than a short-term contract.

Fields has already signaled that he’s open to staying in Pittsburgh, citing a preference for continuity and avoiding the need to learn a new offensive system. However, the Steelers will likely have to compete with several quarterback-needy teams, including the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, and New York Giants, all of whom could see Fields as a potential upgrade at the position.

While Fields returning to Pittsburgh remains a strong possibility, his ultimate decision will hinge on contract negotiations, interest from other teams, and how the Steelers structure their quarterback room alongside Wilson. More clarity on Fields’ future should emerge as free agency approaches.
