Another Steelers player was unexpectedly selected to the Pro Bowl. Linebacker Patrick Queen was selected for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games, the organization announced on Wednesday.
The linebacker was also voted for the 2024 Pro Bowl, thus this news represents Queen’s second career Pro Bowl appearance.
Roquan Smith, a former teammate of Queen’s from the Ravens, did not attend this year.
During the 2024 offseason, Queen signed a three-year, $41 million contract with the Steelers, making him the highest-paid free agent in the history of the team. Queen received criticism for his first few Pittsburgh games, but he became better as the season progressed, finishing the 2024–25 campaign with 129 total tackles and six tackles for loss. In addition, he had two forced fumbles, seven passes defensed, and one sack.
Alongside safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, defensive lineman Cam Heyward, kicker Chris Boswell, special teamer Miles Killebrew, offensive guard Isaac Seumalo, and quarterback Russell Wilson, Queen is part of an expanding Steelers team to the Pro Bowl. T.J. Watt, an outside linebacker, was selected for the Pro Bowl but had to withdraw because of an injury. Wilson, Queen, Seumalo, and Killebrew all attended as alternates.
This year’s Pro Bowl Games will take place in Orlando, Florida, with the “Skills Showdown” on Thursday, January 30, and a flag football game on Sunday, February 2, which kicks off at 3 p.m. ET.
ESPN will broadcast both events, while ABC will also carry the flag football game.
