DEAL ACCEPTED: Houston Astros Confirm Another 29-Year-Old Officially Agreed To A $900 Million Deal To Sign With Astros.…..

Since the former Houston Astros player is the top free agent available, baseball has been dominated by the Alex Bregman sweepstakes. After having a change of heart and Bregman remaining in free agency, Houston is allegedly back in the running to sign him after the Astros were apparently eliminated from the sweepstakes.

The Astros are not only back in the race, but they may perhaps be the clear favorites. The current Astros were recently ranked as the favorites to win the $200 million Bregman sweepstakes by Cody Williams of FanSided.

“What the machinations of that look like remain in question,” write Williams.

“It was recently suggested that Houston may shift Jose Altuve to left field and Isaac Paredes, who came in the Kyle Tucker deal, to second base. To put it mildly, that looks improbable.

Jorge Polanco was reportedly of interest to the Astros, which would undoubtedly be a change from Bregman. All of this means that the Astros are now the team that the clubhouse believes will bring Bregman back to Houston.

However, this scenario still feels incredibly fluid, as it has with maybe the best free agent still available on the market this winter.

” The Astros’ willingness to let Bregman depart in free agency over $50 million was difficult to comprehend. According to reports, Houston made an offer of about $156 million, although Bregman is probably hoping for more like $200 million.

It’s becoming more difficult to envision the Astros withdrawing from the race twice at this point. It’s difficult not to think of the Astros as the favorites given Jose Altuve’s public declaration that he will switch positions in order to get his friend back.
