DONE DEAL: Indiana Fever Head Coach Stephanie White Officially Announces The Signing Of Another Top Sensational Star Player…

Indiana Fever Sign Former Notre Dame Star Brianna Turner

The Indiana Fever have bolstered their roster with a familiar name from the Michiana area. Former Notre Dame standout Brianna Turner is set to join the team for the upcoming WNBA season.

Turner, a 6-foot-3 forward known for her shot-blocking ability, is arriving in Indiana as a free agent after spending the 2024 season with the Chicago Sky. A two-time WNBA All-Defensive Team selection, she brings valuable veteran experience to a Fever squad that has already strengthened its lineup by signing All-Star forwards DeWanna Bonner and Natasha Howard this offseason.

After breaking a long playoff drought in 2024, the Fever are looking to establish themselves as championship contenders for the first time since their last postseason appearance in 2016.

Brianna Turner’s Journey from Notre Dame to the WNBA

Turner had an impressive collegiate career at Notre Dame, where she played from 2014 to 2019. However, she suffered a setback in 2017, missing the entire 2017-18 season due to a torn ACL—an unfortunate absence during the Fighting Irish’s national championship-winning campaign. Despite this challenge, she made a significant impact during her time in South Bend, earning two All-American selections and being named ACC Defensive Player of the Year three times.

Her success at the collegiate level led to her selection as the 11th overall pick in the 2019 WNBA Draft by the Atlanta Dream. However, before ever suiting up for Atlanta, she was traded to the Phoenix Mercury, where she spent the first five years of her professional career. Turner quickly made an impression in the league, earning All-Rookie honors in 2019. She was also named to the WNBA All-Defensive Team in both 2020 and 2021, solidifying her reputation as one of the league’s premier defensive players.

Turner’s Role in Indiana’s Title Hopes

Now, Turner joins a Fever team aiming to take the next step toward championship contention. With her defensive skills and postseason experience, she is expected to play a crucial role in Indiana’s push for success in the highly competitive WNBA landscape.

As the Fever continue to build around their talented roster, the addition of Turner could be a key factor in their quest for a title. Fans will be eager to see how her presence impacts the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
