Jaire Alexander, a cornerback, is not expected to return to Green Bay for the upcoming season. Concerns about availability have been the main cause of the 28-year-old’s decrease over the past few years. Alexander still has the ability to play well on the field, but his erratic play and unavoidable injury worries have made his exit this summer all but certain. Alexander is seeing one AFC North team emerge as a “strong suitor.”
According to reports, Jaire Alexander is a target for the Baltimore Ravens.
The Baltimore Ravens, one of the NFL’s top teams, are going to need some secondary reinforcements soon. First-year defensive coordinator Zachary Orr’s team struggled with passing defense; they finished 30th in pass plays of 20 yards or more allowed and 31st in passing yards allowed. If a former Pro-Bowler becomes available, the Ravens might want to consider making a run at him.

The Ravens’ roster already includes a number of seasoned corners. Marlon Humphrey, 28, has been with Baltimore his whole career. Although he is a reputable veteran, he has faced criticism in the last few seasons. Some supporters are also worried about his oversized deal. Tre’Davious White, a 30-year-old veteran, was also acquired by the Ravens early in the previous season, although he did not contribute much. This summer, White is scheduled to enter free agency.
Brandon Stephens, the starting corner, is also scheduled to become a free agent, which further complicates things. Throughout his career, Stephens has been a respectable player who is likely to attract interest from several organizations. He could be eager to test the market and even quit the organization, according to reports. Stephens may get a chance to reunite with former defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald in Seattle, where he currently serves as head coach.

Alexander may so end up becoming a possible addition. Alexander is undoubtedly a talented player when fit, but his injury history raises serious concerns. Alexander may join Kyle Hamilton, Ar’Darius Washington, and Nate Wiggins, three young, talented players in the secondary.
It’s important to remember that Alexander and Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson were college teammates. They may be thrilled about getting back together after playing together at Louisville.
Additional Sounds Around Jaire Alexander
There will probably be other bidders vying for Alexander’s services if the Packers decide to cut him go. Another club Alexander should keep an eye on is the Los Angeles Chargers. Last year, they had to cope with an injured standout in the secondary as Asante Samuel Jr. missed the most of the season due to a shoulder issue.

Given his lengthy contract and injury history, Alexander would probably not command a high price if the Packers were to deal him. Next year, the former Louisville Cardinal will be owed about $16 million, which will increase to $18 million the year after. It is unlikely that many teams will believe Alexander is worth that much.
As the off-season progresses, rumors will persist. If the Pack were to move on, Alexander may become one of the most well-known names available.
