Done Deal: Just In LSU Tigers Football Head Coach Announced The Signing Of Another Highly Talented And Experienced Player…

Four-star in-state offensive lineman Brysten Martinez, ranked No. 32 in the ESPN Junior 300, committed to LSU on Thursday, giving the school its highest-ranked promise of the 2026 recruiting cycle.

A 6-foot-6, 280-pound lineman, Martinez attends Gonzales, Louisiana’s East Ascension High School. He is the third-ranked recruit in the state of Louisiana for the 2026 class and the fourth-ranked offensive line prospect by ESPN. Martinez declared his commitment to the Tigers on Instagram Thursday morning. He has offers from Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Tennessee, Florida, Texas A&M, and Penn State.

With his commitment, Martinez maintains LSU’s strong start to the cycle in the in-state recruiting market and rises to the top of coach Brian Kelly’s 2026 class rankings.

Louisiana is the home state of all six recruits presently committed to the Tigers’ next class, including five talents listed in the most recent ESPN Junior 300, which was made public earlier this week. LSU now has promises from 50% of Louisiana’s top 12 prospects in the 2026 cycle, headed by Martinez, safety Aiden Hall (No. 118 nationally), athlete Jakai Anderson (No. 161), defensive tackle Richard Anderson (No. 181), and wide receiver Kenny Darby (No. 275).

In addition to Martinez, three-star in-state guard Jalan Chapman is another offensive line commitment for LSU.

at his recruitment, Martinez, who attends high school football around 25 miles from Tiger Stadium, made a number of unofficial trips to LSU, most notably last month at the junior day. Only five-star blockers Jackson Cantwell (No. 4 overall), Lamar Brown (No. 5), and Immanuel Iheanacho (No. 9) remain undecided, making him the second commit among ESPN’s top five offensive tackles in the 2026 class, after four-star Oregon commitment Kodi Greene (No. 37 in the ESPN Junior 300).

In the upcoming months, the Tigers will want to bolster their offensive line with players from the 2026 class, and Martinez’s commitment provides LSU a potentially cornerstone asset for the future.

Brown is Louisiana’s top prospect in the cycle and the second-ranked offensive lineman on ESPN. The Tigers should be considered the front-runners to get Brown’s promise, ahead of Alabama, Miami, Florida State, and Texas A&M. He also attends University Lab School on the LSU campus. The Tigers are also in the running for four-star offensive lineman Darius Gray (No. 70 nationally), and LSU is competing to join Alabama, Georgia, Penn State, Oregon, and Maryland on Iheanacho’s list of official visits later this year.

In the 2025 cycle, LSU signed three offensive tackles from the ESPN 300, including Solomon Thomas, a five-star player ranked No. 17 overall.
