The Green Bay Packers are reportedly considering parting ways with star cornerback Jaire Alexander due to his ongoing injury issues. Since being drafted in the first round in 2018, Alexander has been a pivotal player for the Packers’ defense. However, over the past four seasons, he has missed 34 out of 68 games, dealing with multiple injuries including shoulder, knee, and groin issues.
In 2022, Alexander signed a four-year, $84 million contract extension, making him one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the league. Packers’ head coach Matt LaFleur expressed his sentiments, stating, “It’s unfortunate, it is what it is. I feel for him.”
