Breaking News: BAMA Head Coach Kalen DeBoer Just Officially Announced The Departure Of Two Top Experienced Star Players…

Greg McElroy, a former quarterback for Alabama, believes the Crimson Tide may have a successful comeback season in 2025.

The returning talent on Alabama’s roster under second-year head coach Kalen DeBoer provides the foundation for McElroy’s prediction of a comeback. McElroy also cited the Tide’s eagerness to change the Alabama story this season, their tight-knit connections, and their reinstated leadership.

The fact that players who might play in the NFL are choosing to return even though they are not required to is one of the things that has me quite optimistic about Alabama. “That’s huge,” McElroy said. “In the locker room, players are talking about how they feel great about the leadership now that they are on this squad. It sounds like they’re really united and eager to change the message about Alabama’s capabilities.

McElroy continued by citing the offensive line, the defense under second-year defensive coordinator Kane Wommack, and the return of prominent players as factors for the Tide’s possible comeback.

“They have some well-known players coming back, like Ryan Williams,” McElroy remarked. “I believe most people feel fairly comfortable about the defense, but the offensive line should be pretty solid as well. There is a lot when you look at what’s behind you. Nine of their starters are back, and the majority of ones returning on defense were freshmen. Furthermore, it is impossible to overstate the offensive contribution of Ryan Grubb. The schedules are difficult, in my opinion, but Alabama should be well-positioned for a significant comeback in year two under Kalen DeBoer, especially with the defensive continuity returning.

As they get ready for the 2025 season, Alabama football is currently working every day to strengthen the program.
