According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, quarterback Justin Fields of the Pittsburgh Steelers is anticipated to have a robust free agent market. Fields was at the top of the boards for at least three teams, according to sources who spoke to PennLive.
“Just like with Justin Fields, the other (Steelers) quarterback, Russell Wilson still has the option to return to Pittsburgh,” Schefter stated on Sunday. The Steelers have stated unequivocally that they want to re-sign one of those two quarterbacks. Russell has been contacted. Although there will be a market for Justin Fields, they will be speaking with him. We’ll see whether Pittsburgh is one of the many clubs who are interested in him in the future.
Fields led the Steelers to a 4-2 record in 2024 after starting the first six games after being traded from Chicago in the summer. In addition to more than 200 yards on the rush and five more touchdowns, he passed for 1,106 passing yards, five touchdowns, and one interception.
The Steelers are interested in having Fields return. Fields’ market seems robust, though, and that may entice him to leave the Steelers.
