When asked how he would counter Team Canada’s power play in the forthcoming 4 Nations Face-Off, veteran Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand responded in a humorous manner.
Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, and Sam Reinhart are in Canada’s opening power-play lineup. The Bruins winger had a humorous proposal for handling Canada’s stacked top unit during the team’s first practice in Montreal on Monday.
Marchand chuckled and remarked, “I would probably put three goalies in the net and just let them try to do the job.” “You know, we are joking out there—five of the best players to have ever played the game are on that power play.”
Marchand admitted that it was remarkable to observe the best players collaborate during practice.
“Even as a fan of the game, it’s fun to be able to be out there and watch them do their thing,” Marchand stated.
“So, it’s special.” Marchand, the Bruins captain, Brayden Point, and Seth Jarvis are anticipated to skate on Canada’s third line. Marchand stated back in December that he was excited to play with Jarvis as a member of Team Canada in the 4 Nations, and this will start to happen on Wednesday.
