Sad News: Auburn Tigers Football Confirm QB Payton Thorne Announced Shocking Departure And Give Reasons Why He Wants To Leave Auburn Tiger…

In Saturday’s 20-14 loss to California, Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne struggled. Thorne tries to ignore the noise from fan criticism following a game like that, but it’s difficult when even his Venmo is exploding.

Thorne received a lot of criticism on social media for his performance against the Golden Bears, as he completed 14 of his 27 passing attempts for 165 yards, a score, and four interceptions. Thorne was receiving criticism for one Venmo request after another, as if the hate from the regular sources wasn’t terrible enough.

In an interview with “The Next Round,” Thorne stated that after losing a wager on Auburn, supporters will get in touch with him.

“Obviously people say not to listen to it and all that, but that’s easier said than done because in today’s world they come at you from all different angles,” remarked Thorne. “That’s probably the least of them, but you hear it vocally. Sometimes you hear it while simply strolling down the street. Then on social media, of course. They will attack you on Venmo and other similar platforms.

The requests only go one way, Thorne said. The quarterback for the Tigers has never received his share of a significant parlay victory.

Thorne stated, “No, they’re definitely not sending cash,” nevertheless. It’s amusing. They want their money back when they lose it. However, nobody ever sends me money when they win on a parlay.”

During the first two weeks of his second season with the Tigers, Thorne has completed 56.3% of his throws for 487 yards, five touchdowns, and four interceptions. Thorne still has the starting position despite his difficulties from the previous weekend, but head coach Hugh Freeze thinks he will need to see some progress from the senior, who is in his fifth year.
