According to a source, Michael King and the Padres have reached a settlement to forego arbitration. King will receive $7.75 million, which includes a $3 million signing bonus, a $1 million salary, and a $3.75 million buyout on a $15 million mutual option for 2026. Depending on how many games are begun, the buyout might reach $4 million, Feinsand said in a Friday post on X.
