Donte Jackson, a cornerback with the Pittsburgh Steelers, will be available in free agency. After a season in which he recorded a career-high five interceptions, Jackson may be looking for a new home just a year after the team acquired him in a deal for Diontae Johnson.
Jackson expressed his desire to visit Pittsburgh again in January during the offseason. Jackson made his postseason debut in the Steelers’ defeat of the Baltimore Ravens following seven seasons in Carolina.
“I hope to return,” Jackson remarked. “There will be another free agency soon. I’m just thankful to be in this position and have the opportunity to sign a third deal. Because, dude, men don’t reach two. Just being able to position myself to sign three is fantastic and a blessing. fantastic chance for my family and me. We’re hoping to return. Although we adore it, business is business.
But how much would Jackson sell for on the open market? According to Spotrac, Jackson might receive close to $12 million annually, and they calculate that a two-year contract for $23.1 million would suffice.
But there are other choices available to the Steelers. There will be a large crop of free agents, including Charvarius Ward, Byron Murphy, D.J. Reed, and others.
