LATEST SAINTS NEWS: Alvin Kamara Terminates His Contract With Saints And Sign A $175 Million With Raiders Also Left Shocking Message……

Alvin Kamara has publicly expressed his preference for the New Orleans Saints’ next head coach, and his choice is not surprising. The Saints running back took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday to share his endorsement, tweeting, “Aite my vote for head coach rhyme wit Fizzi…”

Kamara’s cryptic message clearly points to Darren Rizzi, the Saints’ interim head coach. Rizzi, who joined the Saints in 2019 as the special teams coordinator and became assistant head coach in 2022, took over as interim head coach on November 4 after Dennis Allen was fired. Under Rizzi’s leadership, the Saints went 3-5 in their final eight games, finishing the season with a 5-12 record.

Despite the team’s struggles, Rizzi has gained support from the players, including Kamara, who evidently backs him for the head coaching role. However, Rizzi’s overall coaching performance has been a point of concern, as the team’s results under his interim tenure were underwhelming.

The Saints are also considering other candidates for the head coaching position. New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, and Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn have all advanced to the second round of interviews. Rizzi was interviewed over the weekend, and the process is ongoing.

The in-person interviews were scheduled to continue on Tuesday but were delayed due to snow in New Orleans, further extending the decision-making timeline for the Saints.
