Kyren Lacy, a former LSU wide receiver, is wanted by the Louisiana State Police on serious charges, including negligent homicide, following a deadly hit-and-run accident in Lafourche Parish. The incident, which occurred on December 17, involved Lacy allegedly causing a chain reaction by illegally crossing the centerline to pass other cars. This maneuver reportedly forced other vehicles to swerve, leading to a collision that resulted in the death of a 78-year-old passenger, Herman Hall.
Lacy is also facing charges of felony hit-and-run and reckless operation of a vehicle. Authorities have issued a warrant for his arrest and are in contact with his legal team regarding his surrender. Lacy’s agent, Rocky Arceneaux, has stated that Lacy is cooperating with the investigation and emphasized the importance of a thorough examination of the facts.
This situation arises just days after Lacy declared for the NFL draft, following his graduation from LSU in December. He did not participate in LSU’s recent bowl game victory over Baylor.
