Good news: Seattle Seahawks Sign Dallas Cowboys Ex star to Practice Squad………

The Seattle Seahawks are set to face former second-round pick Kelvin Joseph, adding secondary insurance and background knowledge to their upcoming opponent

Seattle Seahawks have signed former Cowboys and Dolphins cornerback Kelvin Joseph to their practice squad for a crucial Thursday night road matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The team also announced the signing of receiver Cody White, with outside linebacker Levi Bell placed on the practice squad injured reserve and guard Ben Brown released in corresponding moves.

Joseph, a 2021 NFL Draft selection from Kentucky, played 26 games for Dallas in his first two seasons. He was a special teams contributor, producing 36 tackles and four pass breakups. However, in 2022, he struggled in the lineup, allowing 12 receptions for 228 yards and 19 yards per reception, surrendering four touchdowns without interceptions, and a dismal passer rating in coverage. Joseph’s promising performance as a rookie was hindered by his poor coverage.

The Cowboys traded Joseph to the Dolphins in exchange for Noah Igbinoghene due to his struggles and potential. Joseph played two games for the Dolphins before being waived, despite producing two tackles and giving up 39 yards on two targets.

Joseph, a 6-1, 192-pound cornerback, is a potential addition to the Seahawks’ game day roster after losing rookie safety Jerrick Reed II due to an ACL tear. His experience in special teams and daily matchups against Dak Prescott and the Cowboys’ offense make him a valuable asset to the team. Seattle’s coach Pete Carroll and the team would be wise to consider Joseph’s potential and his potential to elevate the practice squad.
