Currently, the Chicago Bulls are adrift in the NBA, which is the worst place any club should want to be. They aren’t good enough to compete, nor are they awful enough to tank.
Considering that the Bulls lost important players in Alex Caruso and DeMar DeRozan this summer, it appears that they are pursuing a rebuild. However, they still have a couple more people they must break up with.
A player like this is Nikola Vucevic. Although the two-time All-Star’s play has been deteriorating for some time, he still has a few years remaining on his Bulls deal.
Lonzo Ball, on the other hand, had great potential in his early Bulls years but has missed more than two seasons of basketball due to injuries and various surgeries. Although it is hoped, he might not return to the court this season.
If the Los Angeles Lakers want to contend for the Championship, they must make some adjustments to their roster. This year, LeBron James will turn forty, and eventually, he will have to hang up his sneakers.
Making the most of LeBron’s remaining playing years is therefore imperative. Might it prompt the Lakers to try to get two Bulls players?
Svyatoslav Rovenchuk proposed a deal in the GIVEMESPORT post titled “5 Mock Trades to Elevate the Lakers To Contenders” that would see the Lakers acquire Ball and Vucevic in exchange for 2025 Second-Round Pick, Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, Jarred Vanderbilt, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and LAC.
Ball is well-known in Los Angeles, of course, as the Lakers selected him with the second overall pick in the 2017 Draft. At this point, any team that traded for him would be taking a chance. Conversely, Vucevic would almost certainly start for them.
