Chelsea are closing in on Victor Osimhen’s move as issues on personal terms could be resolved ahead of the dying days of the window.
According to Rudy Galetti, Chelsea are close to finding a way to bring Victor Osimhen to Stamford Bridge. The Napoli striker has been keen to leave Italy on his terms, and now personal terms are not understood to be an issue, as the Blues could land the coveted striker ahead of the final period of the window.

Victor Osimhen has been an ongoing topic discussed internally at Chelsea, and they have made their attempts to land the attacker. Earlier, the idea of a part exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku was floated to the Italian side, as Napoli have reached a separate agreement with the Blues for the Belgian attacker since.
The Osimhen transfer has been complicated right from the start, as Napoli initially held firm on their stance of clubs needing to pay the entire release clause, which Chelsea or other interested parties were uninterested in, as the PSG deal failed for the very reason.
Chelsea had restarted talks after Osimhen was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, and now they appear to be inching closer to bringing the 25-year-old striker target. Osimhen does not want to join any Saudi clubs, and would prefer a move to Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea the only realistic suitor at this stage.
The Blues also made a move for Ivan Toney on Tuesday, which shows they are keeping their options open ahead of the final days, as landing a striker is a priority for them. As per Rudy Galetti, it might be Osimhen who could come into their setup, as a deal is inching closer to completion.
Personal terms issues resolved
Apart from what Napoli wanted for Osimhen, the player’s personal terms were a significant stumbling block. The 25-year-old striker was not willing to take a paycut from his existing salary at Napoli, nor was he ready to join another club on loan, as he sought a permanent deal away from the Serie A giants.
Personal terms with Chelsea are reportedly not an issue, as the two parties could agree on it imminently. The Blues will likely land the 25-year-old striker’s target in the final days of the window and fulfil their objective of bringing a new No.9 to their squad.
