Arsenal Joins Race To Sign Ademola Lookman

English club, Arsenal have joined the race to sign Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman from Atlanta. The premiership club is willing to make a €50 million offer, involving Jakub Kiwior as part of the deal that will see Lookman come to the Emirates Stadium, Football Italia reported.

The Nigerian star was initially was on the front list of French side, Paris Saint-Garmain for some weeks until the club interest in him slowed down drastically.

StreamSports24 gathered that the talented Super Eagles winger was on the field against Champions League winner, Real Madrid last Wednesday but pleaded to be excused from Atlanta’s Serie A game against Leece on Monday.

It was also learnt that Lookman did not show up for training on Wednesday fuelling speculations from Sport Italia transfer expert, Alfredo Pedullà that his absence is due to his refusal to continue playing for the club.

Arsenal have reportedly placed a bid of of €50 million plus bonuses, with the possibility of including Kiwior in the deal to potentially reduce the fee, or even offering him on loan with an option to buy.

Despite the options placed on the table by Arsenal, Atlanta seems to be unwilling to let go of the 26-year old Nigerian forward with reports that it is planning to double his current wages.

Lookman’s impressive record of 17 goals and 10 assists after featuring in 45 matches has boosted his chances of moving to a better side.

Meanwhile, Napoli will meet Chelsea on Thursday in a meeting that is arranged for the purpose of negotiating a deal for Romelu Lukaku in person.

The Serie A club official offered a bid on Monday for Lukaku, however, according to football transfer expert, Fabrizo Romano, the offer was turned down by Chelsea.

Despite the perceived deadlock, discussions are reported to be ongoing as two sides hope to come to a reasonable agreement.

Both clubs are aiming to finalize the transfer for Lukaku before addressing the potential departure of Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
