Angela Cullen posted on social media expressing her admiration for a storied American racetrack.
Throughout his seven-year tenure, the physiotherapist assisted Lewis Hamilton, the legendary Formula 1 driver who won numerous world championships with Mercedes.
Apart from their work relationship, Cullen was the British celebrity’s buddy and confidant.
But in 2023, the two made the decision to split up, with Cullen quitting the sport to go on some solo travels.
Cullen trains whom now?
The Kiwi, who trained fellow countryman Marcus Armstrong in the IndyCar series, could not stay away from motorsport for long.
Former Formula 2 racer Armstrong, who drives for Chip Ganassi Racing, has publicly commended Cullen for her influence on his career.
“She possesses an infinite amount of experience. She’s witnessed championships win, she’s seen Mercedes do it, and all of that,” Armstrong reportedly stated, as reported by the Associated Press.
Thus, having her on board provides motivation, direction, and inspiration.
Since Cullen’s trainer joined Armstrong’s team, Armstrong has improved steadily, demonstrating the impact of Cullen.
Together, they celebrated Armstrong’s best-ever IndyCar performance, finishing third at the Detroit Grand Prix—his first podium finish in the series.
The two are excited for their upcoming visit to the renowned Laguna Seca track in Monterey. Cullen showed her admiration for the circuit by sharing a photo of the track on her Instagram story.
The image showed Armstrong driving his Chip Ganassi race car with the sun shining on the circuit and the trainer writing a bunch of hearts in love.
This weekend at Laguna Seca, Armstrong will be trying to improve on his performance in Detroit and win his first race of his career.
